Cash for Suckers
The latest gimmick that the Obama administration unleashed is the "Cash for Clunkers" program. It awards cash to individuals who trade their cars in for a more fuel efficient one. The administration seems to think that this sideshow will jump start the auto industry and the economy. It may be well intended, however its not real growth. When the government stops spending the demand will drop off again. The program has faced a backlash from car dealers and auto mechanics. Like typical Liberals, this administration has not met a government program they didn't love are ecstatic. Let's see if they are just as happy a year from now.
