With Friends Like These
There was much hype during the early days of the Obama administration about how he would help "restore our image in the world". The liberal narrative was that George Bush damaged our relationships with our allies(I have yet to see what allies they were referring to). The Obama administration in its haste to make nice with Syria and Iran has all but spit in the eye of our longstanding and lone ally in the middle east: Israel. The administration has demanded that Israel stop building settlements in disputed and predominantly Palestinian east Jerusalem, which Israel annexed from the Palestinians during the six day war in 1968. In classic Obama fashion, his view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of moral equivalence. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stood his ground which has caused minor tension with administration. There have even been street protest in Isrealis against Obama which has gone unreported by our mainstream media.The naivete of this administrat
