No Spin Zone

I has a discussion with a dear friend regarding what I thought was President Obama's ill advised comments about the Kanye West debacle. During an off the record moment while preparing for an interview Obama referred to Kanya as a "jackass". My assertion was that out of all the things going on in the world why would the President of the United States even comment on such pop culture none sense? I felt that it was certainly out of his "context" to comment on such a matter. I do not think he should have commented at all. My friends opinion was that it wasn't that big of a deal and that it was only an issue because it was leaked on Twitter by ABC news who was conducting the interview.

Well, it feels great to be validated. When asked by ABC's George Stephanopoulos about the recent ACORN scandal. Obama responded with "It's not the most important issue in the country, Its not something I am paying that much attention to". Wouldn't that have been a more appropriate response when he asked about The Kanye West controversy? Just a thought?

The Obama campaign reportedly gave ACORN $800,000 and the group broke nearly every law in the book to get him elected. There were reports of homeless people and derelicts being registered to vote and driven to the polls. Some ACORN operatives were caught registering names of former NFL players. Thankfully the house and senate have voted overwhelmingly to cut off federal funds to ACORN. Its quite obvious that given Obama's cozy relationship with the community organized crime syndicate, he doesn't want to toss them in front of the train just yet. After all he's got re-election to think about.
