Voters Tea Off On Democrats

President Obama was noticeably subdued during a Wednesday press conference and acknowledged the "shellacking" by the voters. After twelve years of being the minority party, The Dems only managed two years of liberal bliss before the voters reminded them of why they were a minority party. The presidents next two years have suffered a devastating blow in that his unrealized agenda items such as cap and trade and card check may never see the light of day. The Presidents liberal coalition has all but dissipated which will force him to compromise with Republicans on some very contentious issues -namely the Bush tax cuts. Not extending them after January 1st in a down economy will undoubtedly put an end to any thoughts of re-election. The Republicans have been given the mother of all second chances and should not become overconfident-the Tea party will hold them accountable. In politics there are no permanent victories.
