Black Radio And The Re-Miseducation Of The Negro

To listen the any of the myriad of urban radio programs offered daily on AM as well as FM stations across the country for the the clear thinking is a thoroughly depressing experience. Urban radio which began as purely an entertainment medium for under served African American listeners has morphed into a democratic left wing propaganda machine. Sadly millions of blacks tune in to get their daily dose of race baiting. During an average broadcast, one can hear conspiracy theories, rants about TEA party, black economic unity, Barack Obama worship or how Republicans want blacks to return to slavery. The views espoused on these programs are at best misinformed, at worst dishonest. In order to illustrate the extent of the mindlessness and propaganda that blacks are absorbing daily from black radio, the best example I can use is the Warren Ballentine show. Nationally syndicated Chicago attorney Ballentine host a morning show which has left this very talkative blogger many times speechless. He just might be the most unimpressive, uninformed personality in America today. He relentlessly assaults his listeners with conspiracies, self defeating class warfare rhetoric, and other incoherent rants on just about every topic under the sun. Welcome to the world of black radio. Equally depressing are the ramblings of the callers who mirror their host. At least once a week the listener will be treated to a reference to an urban legend and one of black America's favorite conspiracies called the "Willie Lynch letter".

Listening to Mr. Ballentine's fabrication of historical facts, economic illiteracy and conspiracy theories are astonishing. some of my favorites: England owns Canada, there is no such thing as inflation, JFK was killed by the Federal Reserve which was created in 1924. Actually it was 1913 but who cares about facts when you have a captive black audience who won't or can't challenge you. I could devote a running blog to Ballentine's factual distortions if I so chose. What's more egregious about Mr. Ballentine-a former criminal defense attorney- is his persistence in giving his listeners financial advice. Each week his listeners are treated to a 20 minute infomercial from the debt stoppers law firm. Mr. Ballentine is a partner in this firm, although he consistently fails to disclose this to fact to his audience. Their message: file bankruptcy as a way to reverse financial misfortune and we can help you do it. Warren recently went on a diatribe about the recent discovery of a planet that astronomers say could sustain life. The host has interpreted this as a sign that "they" are planning to perhaps colonize another planet, suggesting that Domino's Pizza could one day be seen on this planet. Someone should inform Mr. Ballentine that the planet isn't exactly a Southwest airlines flight away-it's 20 light years. For those of you astronomically challenged, a light year is a measure of distance not time equal to about 6 trillion miles. That's 6,000,000,000,000! He obviously doesn't understand that it would take thousands of years to travel that distance. I don't know about you, but I get restless on 6 hour overseas flights. The Michael Baisden show which is also nationally syndicated is equally illuminating. Some of the most challenging questions of our time are explored such as can you be a stripper and be a good Christian? Black radio is particularly valuable to so called black leadership who never miss an opportunity to assault their constituents with manipulative language. They frequently use inflammatory words as "lynching" and "Jim Crow" in order to send blacks marching to the polls to vote for democrats. Groups such as the NAACP have standing platforms on black FM radio stations. These demagogue's have successfully managed to create an industry out of civil rights by expanding its definition to include jobs and health insurance. Republican Presidential hopeful Herman Cain recently stated that a large percentage of blacks were 'brainwashed" politically-he's 100% correct and black radio is the major contributor. The civil rights movement is over and racism is no longer the primary issue facing blacks today- you wouldn't know that by listening to this crowd.

The Democratic party and other leftist groups pour millions of dollars into black radio in order to take advantage of a bottomless pit mindlessness. The underlying themes of these programs are collectivism, racial politics and class warfare-all losing philosophies. Mr. Ballentine urges his listeners to open bank accounts in black banks so those banks will in turn 'lend to the community". Those who know me can attest to my disdain for black radio. It is a cesspool of misinformation, disinformation and propaganda which has been a godsend to the Democratic part over the past decade. Its has been instrumental in assisting the Democrats in their smear campaign of the right and the TEA party. Since the end of the civil rights movement, blacks have spent the past forty years waiting on act II. A long line of demagogue's posing as civil rights "leaders" have carved out a nice living for themselves in what is now a multi million industry.
Real change does not happen because thousands of poor people led by an megalomaniacal radio host decide to form an financial cooperative. The appeal of this message hinges on the fact the many are ignorant to the cultural factors that are prevalent in the cycle of poverty such as out of wedlock births and crime. Microsoft or McDonald's were not created by a few thousand low income people. Entrepreneurs are born, not made and collectivism is nothing more than communism in disguise. A key principle of American conservatism is to empower the individual-not the state or the collective. Socialist and communist nations have proven this to be a failure. My long held belief is that along with the welfare state, hip hop culture and black radio are the most destructive forces in Black America. So long as this poisonous and dis-informative medium exist, we can only look forward to future generations of black victimization.
