Obama's Change Hopeless

President Obama's election was met with religious enthusiasm from his fans on the left. I use the word "fan" in this instance very deliberately in this instance since many of those who voted for him see him as a sort a pop star, like Michael or Prince. He isn't an elected official who is there to serve the people of the United States. Instead his Presidency has become a coronation of the civil rights movement, not to be challenged or held accountable. Blacks tend to see him as someone to protect and defend  against the racist Republican barbarians at his white House gates. If they would only let him do what he wants to do" some of them say. Although there has been rumblings from his devotee's in the black community. His recent Morehouse Speech where he spoke of black male responsibility and victimization sparked anger from those who accused him of "talking down to blacks". Although I am certainly not a fan of the President, I found no issues with his speech. He is well aware of the serious cultural issues facing black America: high rates of crime, violence, drop out and out of wedlock birth rates. However the left attributes these factors to racism and discrimination-not symptoms of a bad culture. Conservatives have been often met with vitriol when pointing out these factors. In a strange irony, a committed member of the left is experiencing the same push back.

So it appears that blacks aren't ready to here the truth about our cultural crisis which lets me know that we will never improve. The academics on the left will continue to preach Marxist materialist and/or racial political dogma and ignore the real issues facing black America. The recent scandals plaguing his administration and his embattled Attorney General Eric Holder are threatening his second term agenda. Then candidate Obama in his naiveté really felt that the only thing Washington needed was him and his "Change" mantra. Four and half years into his presidency,  he now knows "Change" is easier to just believe in.
