How Trump Can Make America Great Again....Like Cuba

2016 has certainly been a momentous year for the country and world. This year saw the passing of Icons like Muhammad Ali and pop stars Prince and David Bowie. Just this week Longtime Cuban strongman Fidel Castro died at the age of 90. Castro's death caps an eventful and tumultuous year in American politics which saw the upset election victory by Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton. Trump ran on a populist message of bad trade deals, curbing illegal immigration and rebuilding Americas' military. His campaign slogan Make American Great Again has become a catchphrase.

If Trump truly wants to make America Great Again, I would recommend that he adopt Fidel Castro's communist playbook-why not? It was effective for 50 years. For starters he should take the constitution, shred it and declare himself President for life. No need to be concerned with another wild and controversial election for the foreseeable future. As commander-in-chief Trump could orchestrate a military coup and suppress any and all political dissent. There should be no freedom of speech, association or political expression of any kind. All political opponents would be jailed or neutralized through intimidation or other more effective measures. All non whites, homosexuals and women should be purged from the Administration. He should next focus on shutting down all independent press and media. Every single media source and television network would cease to exist and would be replaced by government run Trump TV. After that, all private businesses and corporations should be nationalized and rolled up into the Trump Organization. All private property and assets owned by both Americans and foreigners should be seized-of course except for the first family and their close friends. And please do not forget to surrender all yachts and watercraft. Since all travel outside the United states should be restricted without government approval. All housing and education will be government subsidized. However in order to receive this education, one must pass a Trump administered political exam to insure that ones views are in line with the those of 'The Donald'. If one does not pass this exam, he or she would not be admitted to a university. Although healthcare will be free, he should not provide bed sheets or band aids at most facilities. Citizens will be expected to set aside funds for these items out of their $500 a month average income.

As Castro famously believed; "sport is the right of the people". Not just for the elite but for everyone. So it is only fair that all professional sports leagues will be abolished. Professional athletes should be forbidden to receive more than $500 a month in salary. Their wealth and assets will be confiscated by the administration. What's so great about a Cuba-like USA? The government will provide all of your basic needs. there will be no rich-only poor. There will be no criticism of the government because it isn't allowed. There will be no income inequality because we'll all be poor. Doesn't that sound great?
